Black Country Living Museum

Electric tramcars and trolley buses transport visitors back in time from the modern exhibition halls to the canal-side village, where costumed demonstrators and working craftsmen bring the buildings to life with their local knowledge, practical skills and unique Black Country humour.

Dudmaston Hall

The house, with its intimate family rooms, contains fine furniture and Dutch flower paintings, as well as one of Britain's most important public collections of contemporary art in a country house setting. The delightful gardens are a mass of colour in spring and visitors can enjoy walks in the Dingle, a wooded valley, or the popular 'Big Pool' walk. There are also estate walks to and from Hampton Loade. Dudmaston is the home of Colonel and Mrs Hamilton-Russell.

Iron Bridge

The world's first cast iron bridge was built over the River Severn at Coalbrookdale in 1779. Not only iron founders and industrial spies flocked to see this wondrous bridge, but also artists and travellers. The story of the bridge's conservation begins in 1784 with reports of cracks in the Southern abutments, and is brought up to date with the English Heritage sponsored work of 1999.
